Anyone out there had a go at the Sentosa Wave Pool, on the flowrider I am into board sports and have always wanted to try but know it is pretty easy to hurt yourself.

Anyone with experiences there...

And how crowded soes it get?

You have to go on the Flow Rider before you can try the Flow Barrel. If you wake board, skate board or skim board, you'll do fine...but it's quite different from surfing.

There are instructors who will provide guidance and there's a rope you can hold on to. Best time is probably on the weekdays, cheaper and of course less people overall. Wednesdays are 1-for-1, so it can get pretty crazy too.

Usually people get whip-lashes from falling, and the neck & back hurts a bit the day after. If you're unlucky, maybe a cut from the board hitting you or if you have history of dislocating your arm, it can happen too. Or sprained ankles. Really it's about how you ride it, and how unlucky you might be.

Do bring a photo ID along, you can't ride without that.
