there are many different ways to augment the lips

permanent way is through lip lift, which is surgery, or fat grafts, which requires surgery to get the fat from your body. Fat grafts take multiple tries.

other options that are temporary are fillers

Thanks alot for sharing! Actually I did lip aug. recently using my own fat graft but as my swell subside, l was kinda surprise as my lip is getting back to how it was before so l started to do some reading bout it. I was kinda surprise to know that many of others who had done lip aug. has also facing the same thing like me. So l was wondering is there any other method that will make it last. Maybe some other substance being use that can have a longer lasting apperance on it

I've heard you need several rounds of fat grafting before it becomes permanent, or at least starts to have noticable effects. I've never heard of anyone getting fat graft in ANY part of the body and being successful or happy with it the first try. It's considered permanent but you need to try several times.

Yea, I think ur right that it doesn't last long! Perhaps l shall opt for permanant fillers on my next visit, thanks ya!

quite a few cosmetic doctors in real life told me they are rather against permanent fillers unless patient specifically asks for it.


fat transfer to lips very low success rate cos cells dont survive well inside lips. apparently, according to docs, our lips dont really have dat much fats in it. so for those girls with thick sexy lips, its not fats but more like tissue, muscle etc.

currently only temp fillers like juvederm or restylane can create that result safest but not long lasting and also run risk of running outside of the lips contours. can be corrected easily though.

doctors yet find good permanent fillers for lips yet.
