Losing weight is about calorie balance.

Consume more cals then what your body needs = Gaining weight

Consume less cals then what your body needs = Losing weight

It's that simple.

But, what you take in matters too.

If you eat junk food (fried/sugary food which are normally high in cals) most likely you'll gain weight.

If you eat nutritious food, (balanced diet with lots of fruits and veges) you will feel full and abstain from eating junk. Hence, your chances of losing weight are better.

By incorporating exercise, you will get more calorie deficit; and will lose weight also.

So the moral of the story is to exercise and eat healthily.

Hope this helps. :D

That depends. Try choosing the low-fat versions or those without much sugar added. Check the label for nutrition contents. If sucrose/sugar is being listed as the first few ingredients, most likely it's high in sugar.

It's still better than eating a candy bar or pastries for dessert. It aids in digestion, contains 'good' bacteria and you can consume it when you have a craving for sugary junk.

yoghurt is 7-20% sugar so not at night + it will cause energy spikes making you tired and hungry . Conclude no mono diet is recomended

Lose weight

Post by the_playful_prince » Thu, 25 Feb 2010 12:53 pm

If you want to loose weight follow these

1) Eat fresh cooked vegetables. More green leafy vegetables, less wheat products - less pasta, bread
2) Avoid more of dairy products - reduce any dairy product - also yogurt
3) Avoid drinking beer
4) Do occasional fasting - avoid snacking between meals
5) Dinner potion should be lesser than lunch
6) Eat fresh fruits
7) Do not sleep more than 6-7 hours per day

I bet you will reduce weight in 1 months time if you follow these strictly

I think everything should be taken in moderate ...
sure i heard yoghurt will help you to lose some weight, but it shouldn't be taken for everymeal, everyday. I think if you were to do that you just end up lossing weight by falling really ill.

Maybe try those low fat ones to replace you cravings need for snacks like chocolate bar or potato chip, at least those low fat yogurt seem to be a healthier choice compared to junk food.
