Help ! Eyelid too wide by Dr.Nara- HatYai

Post by victim01 » Tue, 16 Nov 2010 9:43 am

I did eyelid surgery with Dr.Nara on 10 Nov 2010. However Dr.Nara made it too wide for me :x

Any advice for me ? Will it get smaller after few months ? Can make the extra wide eyelid smaller (revision) ?

The double eye lid crease will take time to settle, 8-12 months. Please google Dr Meronk and see info there.

Try this link so see the healing photos

You mentioned 10 Nov, it's only been 6 days. How your eye lids look now is not that unusual, you'll have to wait it out.

Dr.Nara didnt give me any medication for post surgery treatment.

Back to Singapore, I went to poly to have anti imflammation pill on 13 Nov. Stiches are still there.

Then on 15 Nov I went to GP to for stiches removal.

Hopefully the crease will get smaller in the next few months

yes, don't worry. This is exactly how it looks initially. Scary if you don't have an idea... i did my eyelids few years ago (not by nara - didn't know of him then) I freak out also becos it looks like what you have now, 6 months down. it's really beautiful. So just don't look in the mirror so much for now :)

It looks REALLY swollen. Relax and give your body time to heal itself.

Hi moochi,

After few years, how are your eyelids ? Are they stable ? Do we need any maintainance after the double eyelid surgery ? eg : every year need to see the doctor. Pls share your experience, many thx.

Hi victim01, after a mth, you will feel more secure... Don't have to worry so much. Just take extra care of the wounds will do. :D

Anybody experienced blur vision after double eyelid surgery, due to the swollen double eyelid (maybe) ???

I just did my LASIK in Aug 2010, and my vision is perfect after LASIK.

Hence I want to know whether any other forummer experience blur vision at the 1st week or 2nd week after double eyelid surgery, and how long will it last.

If nothing experience blur vision after double eyelid surgery, then it is my mistake to do LASIK first before double eyelid. I should do double eyelid surgery first and then wait for at least 6 months until the eyelid shape is stable, and then do LASIK.

Hope my experience is useful for other forummer who is considering LASIK and double eyelid surgery.

Yes... People please be warned , this is how double eyelid surgery will look like at the beginning , for at least 3 months! High and fake ... the healing and stabilizing of the creases is painfully slow .

PLease be very patience ,I was depressed for a few month , what have I done to myself ? And then it slowly heal and look better, although today after 2 years, it's still not perfect, but I can live it with.

Yes, my colleagues also said that it looks very fake. A colleague said that her friend did eyelid surgery like mine ( 9mm width for right eye and 8mm width for left eye ) and it still looks fake even after few years. Don't know whether she is jealous only or it is real story :(

What do u mean with "still not perfect" even after 2 years ?

Can you share the photo of your eyes after 2 years or maybe recent photo ? Thank you.
