Hi
I was wondereing if any one could recommend anybody i could go to see about my fear of flying.
I have never particularly liked it but have always flown with few problems. However i would say the last 6 months its becoming more and more of an issue - to the point of feeling so frightened i would rather not go!!!
We have just been home to the uk for a week and the flights were extremly unpleasent..........i can not go on like this and really need to do something positive to overcome this.
I have tried listening to Hypnosis dvds and have also read a book on flying. Both of which i felt ok about but then when i got on the flight i just crumbled.
I will try to look online for something but wondered if anyone could suggest or recommend someone?
Thank you
Lynsey

You could start here;
http://www.askcaptainlim.com/
Although not specifacally for what you asked there is tons of information relevant to your problem.
Beware: site under attack and Capt Lim is in process of getting it cleaned.
Aside from that use google, there was at one time a Canadian pilot who had phone-ins for people to ask questions although there many other places. Should you have the courage to fly and are visiting the UK despite your fears there are several airlines that run fear of flying courses but are expensive.

Lynsey - sorry to hear about your issue. As Plavt pointed out there are A/L's, psychologists, and individuals that can help. If you have a specific fear that you think might be resolved by discussing the situation with a pilot, then feel free to PM me and I would be happy to help out.

Electric fly swatter is more badass!
Yeah, but the racquet will keep your form up to snuff for the next court date....
