Is this the right place for an introduction?

Not sure if this is the right place for an introduction. Wasn't able to find any particular section for this. Moderators please pardon me if this is incorrect.

Just wanted to say a big "HI" to everyone on this board. Found this forum while "googling". Finally decided to be a member. Hope to get to know new friends.

Welcome Christina - yes is't a good starting point. Have a look around, use the forum search (the one just below games and profile on the top right). Lots of new people, myself included, used this forum (and continue to).

One suggestion - look for one of the moderators, SMS. Find one of his postings and at the bottom he has a link to other useful info about moving, living in Singapore, etc.

Once again, welcome.

Mr. P

Thanks P,

Would be great if you could direct me to an "introduction" forum. Nonetheless appreciate your effort. Cheers.

Hi Christina - what worked for me was to have a list of information/questions that needed answering, then use the search function in the forum to narrow down some info. If I didn't find answers specific to my questions, then just select the most appropriate sub-forum and post your question there.

Bear in mind that many of us had the same questions, so in all likelyhood it's been answered before, but you never know!

While the following two subforums are large, they are worthwhile having a read-through in their own right. They are Moving/Relocating and Staying/Living.

Are you actually here or planning to come?

Cheers/P

You're answers are so "robotic". Haha. Anyways, thanks for trying to help. Appreciate it.

And yes, I am in Singapore.

Probably not a good way to make friends when you seek assistance then criticise responses for being robotic.

Jeez. You can't please all the people all the time. Even after busting your balls it seems.

Still, they shall find as they offer. So there is justice after all :)

I prefer disciplined and organised, when one is accustomed to SOP's one becomes more rigid to a tested method that works well. Some may think programmed, in a way could be right, though the information gets updated regular and is tried and tested method of eliminating, waste, and lowering of costs with a final result of efficiency, methodology is a better term I suppose. Everything is clear and precise!

Working with routines, like Military, Electronics, Aviation, Mechanics is also good training, for problem solving. Most learn it without actually realising the change in behaviour, but it becomes crucial in a competitive world to have insight where the application of SOP's can be applied, providing logic is applied it always works well.

Problem is when you meet people that are not on the same wavelength, they have no commonsense, and limited skill sets as they are not efficient, normally academics suffer these problem, through lack of experience. Mr P the word robotic sounds nice now
