I want to run in Macritchie Reservoir to train for the upcoming ultra marathon. To familiarise myself with the terrain since have never step there before. Anyone interested in training together during weekend morning?
A loop of Macritchie boardwalk or trail is about 10km.
Since you're ultra marathoning...try the Macritchie run to Bukit Timah via rifle range park.
-start at main entrance off Lornie road
-run to Jelong tower (just past golf course)
-follow sign to Bukit Timah park (will turn on rocky course) go up and down lovely series of hills
-you'll hit ST technologies and asphalt and monkeys
-cross bridge
-follow to water treatment plant on your left...go up...there will be a worn path leading to a road
-follow road for about 100m...you'll see sign to Bukit Timah on your right...
-then enjoy the up and down valley...back to hills and back to trails
Yup doing the Sabah Adventure Challenge.
Will be doing the ultra run over 3 days...30km (day 1)...rest (day 2)...30km (day 3)...excited as i like trails and may not get mountain bike in time
Finally done my first training in Macricthie Reservoir. Able to click roughly about 15km & walked the HSBC treetop. Will go early the next time to click more km.
