where to live

Post by mindlessmum » Fri, 05 Nov 2010 3:07 pm

Hi all,

I am after some advice on where to start looking to live. I realise that this topic is hotly discussed, tried to trawl through some of the past posts and have come up confused...blame it on the pregnant brain :???:

My husband leaves for Singapore in 2 weeks and the kids (3 and 2yrs) and I will follow in January when I am roughly 34 weeks pregnant.

His work is in Tanjong Pagar, and as we are Aussies my guess is we will look into the Australian school (not concrete).

We don't want to buy a car, so think a walk to the mrt might be useful.

Budget... we were thinking $4000 for a 3-4 bedder, doesn't need maid facilities, is this realistic or do we need to reconsider the budget? would like access to a pool and playground.

Thanks for your help

Should be okay for a 3 bedder as long as you are not particular about "newness" Four-bedder? I'd say a couple of thou light.
