Short term maid required - Are you going away?

Post by michnzr » Fri, 05 Nov 2010 3:01 pm

Hi There,

I have been told that because we are on a short term contract we cannot hire a maid as it is a 2 year contract.

I am thinking that there are expats in Singapore that go away for months at a time, and wondering where would be the best place to advertise to borrow a maid for 3 month periods...?

Thanks
Mich

As I am new to this forum and Singapore, can you advise how I can employ a short term Maid?

All agencies are asking me to sign a two year contract!

Thanks

Mich

You can hire a local maid. Will cost substantially more but that's your only choice. You cannot use somebody else's maid as that would be in violation of the maid's employment pass with MOM.

There are a number of links in my links page in my signature below but you will have to contact them to see if any have local maids.
