Rhinoplasty for Caucasians in Singapore

Post by spacegirl » Thu, 04 Nov 2010 2:45 pm

Do you have info about good surgeon that is skillful with Caucasian noses? I read a lot about implants, silicone and what not but I want exactly the opposite - reduction of the nose, not augmentation. Can you please share your experience if you have any?
I am considering Dr Andrew Tay. Read nice reviews and I also like his connections with the public sectors.

I have heard some mention of AT too.

Some nt too gd abt Dr Leslie Quek and Dr Woffle Wu.

Most celeb Drs are pricey and seriously lack the skills.

I feel some especially the popular Drs are overpriced. perhaps they have to cover their high rentals and usage of facilities.

if you go to korea and Taiwan i find prices are more reasonable and Dr are more humble and they take pride in their work.

Its jus smth to do with the culture maybe.

Having said that most of my comments are regarding to augmentation.

for reduction maybe its a more simpler operation and thus require less competence. However, sometimes if the prices are so crazy, why not take visit abroad and use the surplus money for travelling.

We are so different

Hi, new here and my first post. I've been looking around for info on rhinoplasty for Caucasians, and I'm finding very little indeed. My hunch is that it's basically not a good idea, since the procedure would be so very different from what is done on the Asian nose. So, how much experience could any one doctor have?

If you think I'm mistaken, please correct me and direct me to some links or info. Thanks.

hi, sorry for not writing but maybe we can bring this blog to life again.. i went for a consultation with Dr AT, i really liked the guy and he seemed very polite and experienced. As i am caucasian I need a reduction nose job - the tip and a hump i have. Dr Andrew Tay said open would be best as he has more control and can shape the nose better. he quoted a price of 10k$.
now i am considering going to WW at least for a consultation to hear what he has to say. honestly, i am not going to be stingy about a nose job ... it will be in the middle of my face until the rest of my life so I am happy to break the bank if i will be happy with the result until the rest of my life/.
nose job is such a tricky thing to do ...
going abroad is an option too but with the flights, hotels, etc i see no point in doing it. i have waited a decent amount of years already (i'm not 18) and i want to give myself the best available on the market.

can anyone update me on some of their progress in your research?

hi ele2011,
welcome to the thread... no news on my side, i don't know of any western who has done her/his nose at W Wu.
I am considering him as well, but his price is sky high... !!! So, it is worth it if he will really produce great results..
ele2011, have you visited someone or do you have any experience to share with us?

Hi, Spacegirl,
My girlfriend has her rhinoplasty done by dr. Lesley K., but the result is almost invisible, her nose is still quite big, she payed abt 11k and not satisfied.
I havent visited WW yet, but considering him.. Did u have a consultation w him? how much would he cost approximately?
Thailand is cheaper but not sure abt quality and dont know wich docotor is good there.

Maybe western country is better choice.. My girlfrien done rhino at Paris pay 5000euro , and her nose is perfect now.. But France is far from here. Thailand might be not bad because many Australian are having surgery there , so doctors might be more experienced w Caucasian
Here in Singapore I m not sure if Doctors have enough experience w Caucasian- most local just wanna have bigger nose
