Realistic hours worked

If the job advertisement says average 44 hours per week worked, what would be the "real" number of hours worked?

How many extra hours per day would be expected of employees? Half, one, two?

Depends on the industry and demand, lots of work to be done lots of hours, no work no hrs, no salary

I agree. It depends on the type of position. If you are salary in Singapore 44 would be the minimum hours. If you tried kicking off early you could get in crap.

However if there is a ton of work to do you may need to work way past that including weekends. Depending on your position and employment letter you may get paid over time or paid days off.

Thats really difficult to predict. It varies from company to company, team to team and even person to person.

For eg. you can have a company thats famous for overworking people, yet there could be team who's manager is really nice and allows people to manage their own time and people go home early. Yet there could be one person in that team who is just plain unlucky and the kind of work that he does can be done only by him and there is always loads of work.

You see what I mean. Or confused? Hahaha
