It's a shame to goodbye to one old man but at least it's welcome back to one old gal!
To be honest I always thought MS was sailing rather too close to the wind. Without doubt his knowledge and assistance has be invaluable to many people but KSL has hit the nail on the head with his previous post. What it does prove, and what we've know for a long time, is that the Gahmen do read this forum and in the most part is probably a good source of information and insight into expat life. It wouldn't surprise me that the the rants from the like of SMS, SE and myself on PR abuse and the various loop holes e.g keeping kids on LTSVP, make very interesting reads.

MS - Thank you!! You will be missed by many around the world!Mad Scientist wrote:deleted
I am sorry to hear of this
MS, I thought you bent over backwards to help everyone. I'm not familiar with whatever issues that are implicated but though we've had some exchange of words, I've really appreciated your blunt honesty.
You rather epitomised freedom of speech here without the shady sides of prejudice or politics, apart from your moans.
Hope you'd be allowed back as you have so much zest for this forum. Best regards to you and family.

MS
Utterly insane.
How did the authorities find out the real identify of MS? He was using a nickname and should be anonymous isn't it? Is the government using the Five Eyes Plus data that they gathered to monitor the forum?

While this is old news and shouldn't have be dredged up again, as he is back with us, you must remember that MS wasn't a nobody and having been of some stature in the military and having been in the ministry(ies?) as a civil servant and considering his ethnic background as well, I'm sure not too many here would have fit the description especially considering among other things he managed to extract his two boys correctly as well when he immigrated. Pretty easy I would have thought.

MS wishing you all the best for the future, the readers of this forum will collectively miss your expertise and guidance.
I would like to personally thank you for helping to guide a lot of my decisions in Singapore and immigration related matters (even if it was just by reading your advice to other users).
Thank you and wishing you all the best for future ventures.
