The Calibra was sold here under the Holden badge years ago.. never took off, was a sales flop ...like so many re badged cars Holden & Ford tried to flog to unsuspecting suckers here... European, US & Korean..

Mini 1275GT (Rebored to 1340 with Cooper S manifold/exhaust)
MG Metro Turbo (Someone kindly rear ended me and wrote it off)
Fiat X19 (Nightmare to drive until I put a breezeblock in the front)
Fiesta XR2 (No comment but a great car)
Calibra 4X4 Turbo (What a car!)
Vauxhall Coupe 2.0i (The ex couldn't handle the Calibra
Vauxhall Frontera 2.0i
Mini Metro 1.3 (Don't Ask! )
BMW 535im (An old E34, nice car but tempermental!)
Marcos Mantis (Had the use of this while a mate was overseas!)
Lotus Elise Sport 190 ( :D )
MG TF (The Elise just wasn't the most ideal every day car!)
Landrover Freelander
Mitsubishi EX 2.0 (Current car and slightly modified)

That's an understatement.. my wife has a Megane convertible... if she would let me set fire to it i would be very happy.. the french are sadly lacking when it comes to making cars.. i intensely dislike french cars...with a passion..

Agreed.... their cars are a joke.

A recent Citroen looked quite slick, but at heart they're all crap.

Have to admit to only two French cars I would have in the garage is a 2CV (crap but fun chuck around) and the Bishop and a Miss whiplash combo the crazy Citroen SM.

should say ex wife.. anyway, still rather her than a french car.. i'd never admit to owning one to anyone, let alone in public.. one time i was in Italy, tried to hire a car through the hotel.. specifically told them NO french cars... the guy turns up with a Megane.. i made them take it away and went and found an Alfa!!

:D

First car I ever drove was a 2CV, I think it left me scarred for life. I know what you mean about 'chucking it around'... for some reason it made many of my back seat passengers chuck up!
