Hi
Has anyone experienced being overcharged a fee from Mt Elizabeth Hospital, and did you have any problems getting your money back?
My wife gave birth recently and I found out that the hospital bill which we paid included the doctors charges which my wife had already paid separately. So basically we were double charged. The clinics secretary said the hospital should not have charged us and will follow up with the hospital on getting us the refund. However, I`m alittle anxious because its a few thousand dollars and I havent had very good experiences so far in Singapore with regards to reliability and service.
The bill charge hasnt hit my credit yet so I`m also wondering whether i should call up the visa company and request they hold off on making the payment (not sure if that can be done though).
Thoughts and comments appreciated.
Thanks

Normally you pay the bill when your wife is being discharged, How could you pay it twice?
Mount Elizabeth is quite expensive, I have also been there of my heart condition. Though I don't see how you could pay twice. Fees are always paid on discharged from the hospital, maybe it just feels like you are paying twice
because its damn expensive as a foreigner.

If you hit a brick wall on your dispute of being double charged. Go and see the CEO , his name is Major Ho Sun Yee. OR Dr PC Wong. He is the Head of the Hospital Obstetician and Gynaecology
The positive thinker sees the invisible, feels the intangible, and achieves the impossible.Yahoo !!!

I wouldn't worry too much if the case is as obvious as you described. Just follow up closely and persistently and should be ok.

The hospital bill when she discharged included the doctors clinic bill. And when we went to the doctors clinic for a check up (earlier this week), the doctors secretary told us we still owed the clinic $2k for my wifes delivery. I explained to her we already paid the hospital when we discharged, but she told me the hospital made a mistake and shouldnt have included it in the invoice.
I should have told her, too bad, please chase the hospital and sort it out with them. Instead I gave her my credit card and she charged me for the 2K . She said the hospital will remiburse me back in a few weeks..... what a hassle....

Now I see! Don't worry you will get it back, though it takes time, I would follow up, with MS advice to chase your money.

Also notice that it may not be the fault of the hospital but your clinic. The clinic that we used did not charge us anything and the doctor's fees were included to the bill. At this very hospital.
