Hi everyone,
I know there are a lot of dance schools out there but most have only group lessons or private lessons. I already know how to dance and I'm not interested at the moment in training and competition. I'm simply after a weekly or monthly social dance event with a wide range of dances, where I can go without my own partner and still have a great night out dancing and meeting people.
I'm an Aussie, 34yo female with 20 years on-off dance experience.
Looking forward to hearing from you!

I agree. Are you talking about ballroom dancing only or is salsa, merenge included as well?
Why don't we start a group and see how it goes. I stay in a
condo near Jurong and I can book the function centre here for 6 hours for only $21 but we need to finish by 11 pm.
Let me know if interested to start a group.

Hi Rosh,
For this I'm focussing on ballroom standard and ballroom latin, but happy to include street latin as well. There are a few clubs where you can do that already anyway - Union Square, Movida, Cuba Libre.
There used to be a place in Chjimes called Supperclub where you could go for social ballroom, but you really needed a partner (or to hire a private instructor for the night - which I refuse to do). And it's closed now anyways.
Not sure that I'm ready to start something... and I'm in River Valley so Jurong wouldn't work for me. I've emailed a few dance studios and will see what they come back with.
Fingers crossed!
