I think its quite amazing that they have been through thick and thin since their young days, I mean to clean Singapore up wasn't an easy task, that's for sure and the war time must have been quite an ordeal in Singapore too, they have certainly dedicated their lives for the benefit of the people and the Island and to think of the working hours each day, is certainly an achievement in itself.

With his current illness, and the knowledge that many couples who have been tightly bonded for many years, often die within months of one another, who knows? OTOH, he has a strong will to see his handiwork move forward.

Thank you, kls, for posting this.
I think they are a truly devoted and dedicated couple - outstanding in their building up of SG. Mrs Lee was a Chinese educated lawyer too.
She's a great soul, an enlightened understatement among world politicains and leaders, whose silence console and give rest to all striving to make SG such a dear place in this world.
It would teach us something to know more about the late Mrs LKY.
I hope there'll be divine angelic voices singing to honour her, beautiful flowers and heart felt prayers.
I believe in reincarnations.
Empathies to SM LKY and his family - All thing must pass.
But the good things she's done live after her and is testimony for all to see for a long, long time.
