Applying for PR, after 6 months

Post by wenjun83 » Sat, 02 Oct 2010 1:42 am

Hi,

I started my new job on the 20th of May and have intention to apply for a PR-ship by December, after working the required 6 months under employment pass category.

But I wouldnt have my tax notices by December (It has to be in April). So my question is, can I apply for the PR-ship in December or I will have to wait till April at the very least?

Many thanks.

You do not need to wait till December to apply. You can do it now. The effect will be exactly the same unless you are very special. Unfortunately it is extremely unlikely you are judging from your question. Apparently you did not read a single thread on PR application and there are just tons of them around.

I think you should apply, it's very good practise for filling in forms:wink:

I would wait a couple of years if I were you, there's no chance you'll get it after 6 months in the current environment
