Hi, if I marry my girlfriend, do I get PR or citizenship (or a medal!!)

No and No. In fact, when you apply for your marriage license, you have to sign a statement attesting to the fact that you understand that marriage to a Singapore Citizen will not afford the opportunity to gain either PR or Citizenship. So, before you jump through hoops and do something that you will later regret (as your bank account disappears), please think twice.

However, if you do it anyway, and manage to have a male child, your chances of PR are probably better as the child will be able to be used for cannon fodder in NS. But that might not happen for many years or your wife may only have female offspring.

Depends a great deal on your age, though i would think you will get to pay a great deal of alimony in later years if you are young now :lol: No idea of the success rate in Singapore, though i know quite a few that have to keep the ex wife and lover until she gets married again. I never i went to jail in stead :cry: and eventually got one of my kids and the alimony for her dropped, she married 3 other suckers after me. :lol: she says its true love this time, god bless her :roll:
