New EP Rejection

Hi All, I'm looking for advice. Irecently attained a job with a hospital in Singapore and have got over most hurdles in view of arriving in Singapore but I have just found out my EP application was rejected. My employer has said they are shocked as it has never happened before and are now aiming at putting in a strong appeal. Has this happened to anyone and was your appeal successful? I have read about renewals in the forum being renewed after a face to face at MOM but as I'm not actually there yet I'm feeling a bit in Limbo. Can anyone offer reassurance?

1. What pass did you apply for P1, P2, Q, WP ???
2. Which Hospital ?
3. What job are you after?
4. The hospital apply on your behalf or thru agency?
5. You got AIP(Approve In Principle) or ......???
6. Where do you come from?
7. Your education background?

Hi MS, Thanks for your reply. I'm a UK citizen with a BSc in Podiatry. and 10 yeras post grad experience in NHS with Diabetes specialist input. Job is at JGH and I think it is a P2 EP? They are doing all the paperwork for the appeal on my behalf. I arrive in SG on 23rd Oct with or without a pass as we have already committed all our worldly goods to a house sale and our notice at work is in (feeling the pressure now) but JGH has said they will be doing everything possible for me. Where do you think this will go? I'm hoping it will be resolved at appeal but would it be possible to do a face to face visit to MOM on my arrival with my employer?

IMHO, you should be accepted as this is quite in demand right now. Funny thing is another forumer from UK too, wife has the same credentials like yourself and she got her EP on her own a month ago.
Strange things has happen recently from the local backlash on foreign talent which puts alot of pressure on would be applicant.
My best advise make sure you have all your docs submitted properly. Do not leave any stone unturn. Ensure HR appeals for you on the basis of your credentials and experience and what you can offer to SG economy and health industry. etc
It is unfortunate that you have committed yourself to a house purchase here. Have you gone to view it personally ?
I hate to put more pressure on you but given the situation in SG now and the looming election (GOD KNOWS WHEN) I would not have given up my day job and commit myself to any big ticket expenditure.
Anyway you can't change this now , pray hard you are accepted .

Hi MS, thanks for your reply. My employer in SG has reassured me that they are doing a strong appeal and don't want to lose me as an employee so I'm remaining positve . The house sale I mentioned is our own in the UK, so the plan is to rent a condo when we get there. While I'm on - any knowledge or views on the Emerald Park Condo in District 3 with a viw to central location to town etc. Thanks

Oops, sorry my bad . I interpreted your house sale wrongly.
I am not verse on the condo side of things. You can try to using the search button under the profile link and type what you are after.
