EPEC is from MOM . LTSVP Long Term Social Visit Pass is from ICA. Two different agencies. If you can wait to get Approval in Principle prior arrival to look for job means MOM has vetted your qualification. This is the first part. The second part if you find a job , your would be employer must show cause on why they need to hire you rather than a local or a PR. This is the second part. This is much easier then just coming over to look for job

If you are from China, you need to get a Social Visit Visa under assessment level I category then you are allowed to come over and you will get a standard 30 days visa to look for job which I doubt you can get one at a short span.
You are not allowed to work when you are under LTSVP. Moreover you do not fall under family sponsor or spouse . Look up at ICA website. www.ica.go.v.sg
It has been discussed here at length go to the search button under the profile link on the right hand top corner to absorb more

MS,
I want to slightly differ in this. Even though EPEC is approved by MOM. The LTSVP to stay in Singapore to search for the job is issued by ICA. It can be applied through the below link

http://www.ica.gov.sg/page.aspx?pageid=172&secid=171

OP,
You need to have your LTSVP approved before you land in Singapore or need a SVP Visa to enter Singapore.

Even though EPEC is approved, you can browse through the forum and see that LTSVP has been rejected in few cases even though EPEC was approved. So my personal opinion is for you to get the LTSVP approved while you are in China and then if it is approved land in Singapore.

Or else if you land on a SVP you will just have 30 days to find a job

It means all you did this time was paraphrase what MS already wrote. :-|

Hi,Thanks for the answer,MadScientist
Here it says on the website that the epec gives you a year to find job. https://epec.mom.gov.sg/epec/index.do
Do I still need the LTSVP?Can you tell me the precedures after the EPEC application approval?Especially what should I do before jobs seeking? That would be nice of you.

After your EPEC is approved you surely need at LTSVP or SVP to stay here in SG to search for a job.

EPEC is just a certificate to say that you possess the qualifications to search for a job and then work in SG.

But EPEC is not a visa to search for a job in SG. For that you need a LTSVP or SVP.

In General

SVP - Valid for 30 days and after that you may get one 30 day extension

LTSVP- Issued for a longer period of upto 1 year for people with EPEC applications approved. The duration of validity of LTSVP is on a case to case basis and is not fixed as 1 year in all cases.

Wait for your EPEC approval to reach you by post. As you need to enter the approval date as mentioned on the letter into the LTSVP online application which is different from the EPEC approval email date.
