PR Application Rejected... No Reason?

Post by agoodfella » Wed, 08 Sep 2010 10:21 pm

So I applied for a PR for myself and my wife early this year (around late Feb / early March).

Just received a rejection notice, just a simple note that "application has not been successful"

I've read other threads where they give a reason, so am I missing something here? Do I have to make an appointment to find out the reason why?

Thanks in advance for any help / insight.

There is no way to find out the reason. If they haven't specified any reason then you aren't gonna get any.

Haven't you been reading the newspapers, listening to the news on TV, reading in the forums, what's been happening since last October~November? Been hiding under a rock? If you received a rejected letter without an invitation to reapply in 2 years, you may as well fergeddit. Stay on your EP until something more suitable comes up in another country and then jump on it.

Thanks for your reply even if it came off quite harshly... I have been keeping up with the latest developments, my only point is that some people have been given reasons for the denial and some have not.

As for your suggestion to "jump and leave", it seems as though you are trying to push people away?

At any rate, I have a very good position here, have a solid educational background, the whole nine, etc. So I guess I'll just wait the obligatory 6 months and re-apply.

Dude,
Do not be offended by SMS comments, sometimes he is cranky sometimes he is happy, sometimes he is naughty, that is just the way he is. NO BS NO Ring Fencing. Straight from the cannon fodder. These issues has been sprung up time and time again until we got sick of it .
If they told you to reapply by that time then do that wait until that timeline. If they did not tell you anything means you are just wasting your time to reapply or appeal as you did not meet the criteria. Unless something changes in your working life or you married a Sger or PR then stay on your EP.
Does this makes it easier to digest ?
