SE, actually there can be a limit imposed and this is done by I.E Singapore

Nbm, P.M me if you want to discuss this as we went through a whole host of problems setting up an R.O and were limited at first by the I.E to 2 foreign staff.

I wouldn't want anyone to go through the type of grief we experienced and am happy to assist.

International Enterprise Singapore. Basically the vetting agency / body for R.O's within Singapore.

http://www.iesingapore.gov.sg/wps/portal

Make sure you are named as a representative in the office which can be done online, and that you attach the paperwork with your EP application or it will be a nice 'rejection' automatically.

If you have foreigners working already and it is an established office, then your admin staff will no doubt know the process, but it might be worth checking with I.E (who are very helpful BTW) exactly what the permitted number of foreign 'reps' is for your office.

Hi Billy,

Thanks for the useful INFO. My next question I wanna ask.. is there a limit on how many foriegn employees are permited by I.E for EP?

As far as I know, the RO already has one local and one foreign employees and I will be the next foreign employee that need EP. Hopefully, there is no complication for my EP to be approved.

I can't really give you an answer for that as I would imagine it would differ between companies.

My company was restricted to 2 foreigners for whatever reason. May have been capacity of the office, industry, requirement to employ some locals if expanding......... I don't honestly know.

I would simply call IE and explain the situation and gauge their view on things.

I have always found the Gov Agencies in SG to be pretty reasonable and helpful if you extend them a little courtesy.

Good luck and let me know if you have any issues with your EP or have any further questions.

My bad... I read right through the RO part. Thanks for the correction.
