Help im moving to Singapore!

Post by amandag » Fri, 27 Aug 2010 9:42 pm

hi there
i am moving to singapore and still deciding whether to move to the Botanic Lloyd condo or Tresor in Duchess road which is a bit further out. Does anybody know these condos and whether english speaking families live in either?!.

Also I have a 2 year old and 8 year old. My 8 year old will go to the Canadian school before a place becomes available at the Tanglin school. So I will be home alone with my 2 year old. What is there to do, playgroups, music, etc - I am worried I will be very isolated. Any advice would be much appreciated!!!

Many thanks
Amanda

How do you mean by "Speak English" ? Most of us even the cab driver speak english albeit broken English. If you are looking for Native English Speaker, have no fear there are number of families living around Tanglin, Holland Village . Most of them enjoy the walk at Botanical Garden .
I have no comment on the condos you are after BUT if you chose Tanglin areas as your place to live, you should be alright. In Fact anywhere in Singapore is OK.
Go to the search button under the profile link at the right hand top corner and type what you are looking for and go from there
This not like any other countries so rest assured

yes, strange comment on the english. practically everyone speaks english here. the larger condos often attract lots of families. tanglin and holland village are huge ex-pat areas.
