Looking for a good maid?

Post by anazir » Thu, 26 Aug 2010 12:54 pm

I recently returned from a villa holiday in the Philippines where we were looked after by an excellent house-keeper, Jehnna. Her cleaning was of a high standard and discreet, she had an obviously natural love for children (we had 6 children under 6 in our party), and has completed a cookery program as part of a vocational training course she graduated from last year. Her spoken English is very good, and she completed high school and 2 years of university. Due to the low wages available to her in the Philippines she would like to work in Singapore to support her family better. If she comes into Singapore through an agency she will loose the first 6 months of salary in agency fees but if she can find an employer before she comes she will only loose a couple of months salary in fees. I already have an excellent maid, but I would certainly have offered Jehnna a job otherwise. If anyone is looking for a maid and would like to be put in touch with Jehnna to see if she suits you please let me know. Thank you.

Domestic helper

Post by sashaconlan » Thu, 26 Aug 2010 1:45 pm

Hi, I am new to this forum so hope this will work! I have just read your note about the lady you met who you think would make an excellent domestic helper. We need a new helper asap and I am not having much luck with the agencies. I am VERY interested to talk to you! Could you give me your number and I'll give you a call? Many thanks, I very much look forward to hearing from you.
Regards.
Sasha

Good luck hope it works out for you and her. 6-7 months deduction is a huge burden to new maids.

Does affidavit of invitation from phillipine embassy still work to bring them in on social pass and then convert them to employment once they reach Singapore? There can be risk if we pay their insurance and get employment done before they arrive in singapore.

For totally new helper, they also dont have previous employment history in singapore for employer to check and no previous family in singapore that employer can interview.
