Does Singapore still accepts non machine readable passports?

Post by ZXT » Tue, 24 Aug 2010 3:56 pm

Planning to go there soon and I still have a Green Philippine Passport which is non machine readable but still valid until 2012. I heard some countries only accepts machine readable passports.

Can anyone confirm this with Singapore?

Thanks.

Yes. I've also been to other countries using said passport. I also recently got a decade visa to a certain country using said passport. No problems. I've been assured by the embassy that my passport will be honored until it expires (also on 2012).

yes though its probably time to update your passport when you can. I did mine just prior to emigrating here, it had 18m to run but I figured with all the paperwork it be best to get a new one.
