Post by Rachel_S » Sun, 22 Aug 2010 5:45 pm

Can anyone recommend a good Bikram yoga class? Let me know if any like-minded people would like to come along with me!

There's a bikram yoga close by Cityhall

I looked it up before but it seems quite expensive although I'm not really sure if u mind about it..

here's the site and contact info

http://www.bikramyoga.com.sg/

I'd love to join u but the price is a bit too much for me so now I'm using my P90X DVD at home! :p LOL !

Bikram is no good

Post by Cynthiatsng » Thu, 09 Sep 2010 5:33 am

Hi there,

As per my instructor, Bikram Yoga uses artificial heat to heat up your body instead of your own body's heat thus really awful for your muscles & joints.
To share my own experience as well, I went for 2 sessions of Bikram yoga & feel reall stifling & lack of air during the session & after the session, feel realy weak in my kness & arms.
I am currently taking lessons from this private instructor, learning Ashtanga yoga. It supersede Bikram & am eeally enjoying every ofher classes. Maybe you wanna check out www.ohmsantih.com for more info or call War War at 9336 2556. Best of Lucks!

hello!
you can check out www.omshivayoga.com in bt timah and holland village area.

classes are held in the midst of nature with all the windows thrown wide open, so you are breathing in real fresh air. practise there and even the simplest classes make you sweat like crazy. when you step into the HorseCity area.. you immediately feel as if you are not in Singapore anymore!

I know a colleague lost quite some undesirable weight by practicing Bikram Yoga, but I was once told that hot yoga can adversely affect fertility.
