Hello Ladies,
BMSG (Breastfeeding Mothers Support Group) is hosting a mass breastfeeding event to promote the importance of breastfeeding. Please read the flyer below and come join in the fun!!! The media will be there to cover the event and we will all gather together and breastfeed our babies at the same time. It will be a quick moment but what a bonding experience, right??? Bring the older babes along too for some fun activities. There will be lactation consultants and bf counselors on site to answer any your questions.

IMHO this is the way to make a freak show out of an important thing doing it more harm than good.
Are you going to promote vaginal over cesarean delivery similar way?

it IS very surreal to have a very public event about something very private to a lot of people. isn't it enough to run ads? :o

Normally, I would have deleted the OP's post as it is in violation of our board's advertising policy. However, this time I'm going to leave it, primarily BECAUSE of the points that have been brought up why it shouldn't take place (which I agree with). This is the wrong way to go about something so serious. It's like a circus sideshow. (a minute?) Think of all the screaming babies. How much effect will it have with a bunch of expats trying to nurse for one minute. (Doubt very seriously there will be very many local women as they are much more conservative that way.

Of course the pervs, seeing it advertised, will be out in force. There will probably be 2 old uncles there for ever woman who shows up probably.

SE, if you want to delete it, it's okay by me.
