Not sure what kind of profile you are looking for.arit wrote:Hi all. This is my first post to this blog.I am a software developer from Bangalore(India).I have a masters degree in Computer Application.About 2 years and 6 months of relevent experience.I am a certified professional from Sun(Java).I am willing to work in Singapore,And have just started with the visa process. Can anybody give me a gross idea about the IT job market in singapore. Also about the average package they may offer.
For developers with the kind of profile you are talking the chances are pretty slim right now, there are too many local resources with your skills already.
The Infosys, TCS, Wipro kind of developers are a dime a dozen.
However, if you come from a consulting kind of profile with some core competencies like SOA, Middlware design (not coding), IT Infrastructure design, IT Strategy etc. there is a lot of scope for you in Singapore.
If you have 5-6 yrs of *consulting* experience you can expect to start at around 7000 SGD per month.
Good luck.
Well lets look at this way.... Singapore is not much of a developement market; hence ABAP in itself is not such a hot skill here.arit wrote:Thank you for your advice. Can you help me with another query, How is the market for SAP-Abap/NetWeaver in Singapore?
However, if you are acquainted with SAP processes and domain related stuff that can provide inputs say in the area of MM, WM your skills are hot stuff here.
Again look at it from a consulting perspective and not a tool or scripting language angle / skill.
