Anyone know a reasonable place to repair my Nikon Coolpix digital camera?

You can try the Nikon service centre which would take forever. You could also try searching for The Camera Hospital (not affiliated) and ask them. You could also try The Camera Workshop which takes a bit longer.

Thanks for the suggestions. My Nikon says, "lens error" and the picture is blank.

There is some hope it may not be that expensive. Such error may happen if i.e. grain of sand gets between the lens tubes and blocks the opening mechanism. Of course it can also be something different that would require the replacement of the whole lens unit.

I have actually repaired a Coolpix with the same issue. Lens barrel stuck.

IF you have patience, a small screwdriver set, some mechanical experience, you can download instructions and do it yourself.

It is quite tedious and most of the camera needs to come apart to reach the lens barrel for repair.

Yep, it's tedious. Done it by myself too.
