International school Vs Local School

Post by baobeiheng » Sat, 14 Aug 2010 5:56 pm

I'm looking for a school for my son but I'm not sure whether should I enroll him into local school or International School.

I heard that he would get to learn quite a bit of local culture and Chinese if he were to go to local school, but the cons is that the local school could be stressful. Is that true?

But if I were to enroll him into international school, I'm not sure which one is good? I'm near the Canadian International School. Anyone has any review on this school?

You can find many comments on International Schools on this website. You'd be well advised to visit the schools and make a selection based on what you see and hear from them as well.

You may also find that many have no places at present.

Unless if you have a tutor teach your kid to speak the local language and master it then it will be perfectly fine to enroll him at a local school. I'm leaning towards International School because at least he won't have to adjust that much, hopefully.
Can you elaborate on that?

local lad, I don't think fath86 will be elaborating, as he's a Philippines links spammer and has been blown off this map.
