Any GOOD DIY or hardware shops?

Post by Thaiclan » Sat, 14 Aug 2010 5:21 pm

I want to set up a small woodwork area for my daughter (we homeschool and this is part of that).
We have a self-fix store which is really quite poorly equipped. I need to buy basic hammer, chisel, plain, some timber etc.
Any ideas if there is a DIY style store that can fit me out with what I need?
I live on the East Coast so any in that area will be preferable.
Thanks

Try homely hardware, or the Handyman shop. Look in my links page, center column near the bottom under "D.I.Y. / Hardware Stores". I've been using Handyman centre for close to 30 years now.

I believe there is a hardware store in Siglap Shopping Centre. It is located at the ground floor.
