Wanted to know -
My wife (Singapore citizen) has a house in Singapore. So if we register a sole proprietor business on her name with the house address.
Can we import products store at home and sell online ?
Or do we need to have a office / shop space to import products ?
Tks
You may need an import licence, and permission from HDB if operating from home.
So check first with HDB, then check which import licence you require for your products.
It maybe better to outsource the pick and pack service, saves you alot of trouble and you can store the goods at the pick and pack storage unit.
You then only need to concentrate on sales and online marketing.
Though do not outsource until you have a sufficient sales coming in, you can also negotiate the price as the postage fees will be reduced for the amount of packages sent by the outsourcing company, though no discount for small numbers, 50 to 100 packs a day maybe you can reduce your postal costs.
Postage costs are discussed with sales at the main post office, though they are not interested in small amounts, talk with them first to get a feel of what is required to get postal discount.
