i did see some of the patients have didnt pay for post op. they just walked in and out! met this guy who looked quite good after his nose surgery and it's only after 1 month. WW told me.

To Bella,
dun worry! even if Dr Woffles Wu is going to fly off, you will be superbly well taken care of by his wonderful nurse Lily! That was my case as well when after he did my nose he had to go Vegas for some conference. Lily is really one of those rare 'old-school' nurses who really takes good care of her patients; and I mean genuinely. During my surgery for almost 3 hrs, she was right beside me assuring me, wetting my lips if they got too dried and checking if the lights were too glaring to my eyes even after she placed cotton pads over my eyes! Constantly checking and talking to me to assure me.
I had a great time joking with her following my post-checkups and even calls her my God-ma now! There is the grandmotherly Auntie Jo too!! Go for it! The amount you are going to pay is well justified by the whole experience. When you are there, help me send my regards to Lily!!! Just tell her 'Andy Lau' who visits casino asks you to
she will know who you referring to.
For people who think SGD $16k is expensive, normal plastic surgeons or even ENT doctors who perform entire composite open rhinoplasty with cartilage implants etc ear cartilage in US are charging USD $18k, even $28k-30k if rib is involved . Of coz there's the easy 30-mins op if you just want to insert silicone pieces via a small cut inside nose, which most local surgeons are doing, then u just need to pay $3k. In cosmetic surgery, surgical knowledge/know-how are basics all plastic surgeons should posses ; Artistry is what sets some surgeons a cut above from the rest.
Bella, You are in good hands, I was too! Take Care!

Hi Bella,
Yes, Dr Woffles is no longer using silicone from post-op consultation with him. Mine was done using goretex with ear cartilage. A search in the net revealed the major difference between goretex and silicone is that the former allows for tissue growth which sort of sets the implant in place. silicone implants usually just gets encapsulated and its like 'free' to shift about. The whole op took 3 hrs, but its painless except for the initial local anaesthesia jabs (be prepared
, but its really just that couples of secs. After that you are all relaxed and will find yrself chatting with Lily and Dr Woffles abt heaven earth sky and birds!

Hi Nespress!
thanks for sharing!
but i have also read that gortex is harder to remove if complications arise ( could be many years later) and will cause nose deformity if removed cos of the tissue growth!
best to use own cartilage! i text him about it, still waiitng for reply.
am freaking nervous! plus it's he charges ALOT! i am being charged more than 16k!

Hi Bella,
Paid about the same
but I never regretted a cent I spent so far, I would still go ahead with it if time turns back.
Regarding your question about rib grafts, you can find a thread in this forum, almost 80% of the replies using their own rib grafts as implants were negative - most done in taiwan. The most common complaints were that the rib graft tends to shrink or change shape over the entire year following post-op. Some commented it even shrinked up to 50%!!!! Most are discussing about revision surgery barely even after a year. I personally would prefer goretex or even silicone (I had a silicone implant in my nose for more than 10 yrs inserted by Dr Woffles too, and it didnt give me any problem at all). Of coz, the major deciding factor people go for rib graft is the low infection rate and the fact that its from your own body. But then harvesting a rib graft will leave an obvious scar at yr chest area and from all the comments Ive seen so far, the possiblity of it changing and evolving its shape seems inevitable. My goretex has so far set and taken its shape very well after one month, unlike that of a rib graft which can continue changing shape even up till one year post op.
Hope this helps!

Hey kayatoast!
I think it might be the nasal spray!!! Rem he was constantly spraying some liquid into the nose and I was asked to swallow excess liquid. That was supposed to be medicine-grade cocaine!!!
Yes, I am really happy with my new nose. My mum who was initially unhappy with me going thru this op, nowadays, keeps telling me its growing on her now, and its beautiful!!

happy patients - nesspress & kaya toast
hey!
glad to know that there are happy patients by WW for nose surgeries!!!! thanks to Nesspress & Kayatoast for sharing!
am so freaking nervous, can't get proper sleep these days!
and yes i actually did see another happy patient at his waiting room when i was there. his nose looks fine after 1 month! ww told me.
but my nose is "special" :(
a little deformed by nature, got it from my mum, it's upturned like a pig! but luckily my other features kind of overshadows the nose. and with gals, there is always like good skin, hair & other stuff to help us look good! having said that, i am always been very conscious of my nose and under certain lighting, my nostrils look very big :(
i hope my alar reduction is successful and for a smaller nose. i am not so concerned about the height of my nose, just want a smaller nose without everyone seeing my nostrils!
i am so very lengthy in my posts cos of nervousness and typing it out makes me feel better!
did you guys do anything special to reduce the swelling & bruising? i bought loads of pineapples juice, orange juice, fruits. intending to get yogurt, cheese, compress on monday before surgery. did you use a cold compress on your eyes? i even tan myself too so as hopefully bruises don't look so bad on tanned skin!!

hi kayatoast,
you are lucky you can use your ear cartilage, you didnt use an implant right.
hi nesspress,
you can google under wraped cartilage nose, it's not from rib. it's from your own cartilage like nose, ear, diced it to form the bridge of your nose.
you guys recover so fast! any special tips? please please share!
