Post by bella88 » Wed, 04 Aug 2010 5:15 pm

Hi,

I have just scheduled my nose surgery with woffles wu next week. am really anxious & scared, hope all will be fine. will keep those who are keen to do the same surgery as me updated.

i was reading loads of information online & finally decided on woffles wu. and yes, it is damn expensive and if the results are worth it, i am ok with it. now, i can only hope and see.

will keep this topic updated once i have my surgery next week.
anyone has experience with woffles wu for nose surgery? i was charged more than $16k!!!!!

hi bella

Every surgery bound to have 90% imperfection, the good result only last a short term, there might be more complications arise after surgery. Most ppl have to go through several revision surgeries to achieve the desired result.

woffles wu

Post by bella88 » Wed, 04 Aug 2010 9:29 pm

i am so nervous thinking about the surgery next week. i really hope my nose will turn out nice/normal. i emailed and text woffles wu too. worried about stuff and heard from his counter gals he is flying off soon. if that's the case, who is going to do post op care for me?

i really hope that i won't regret my decision. will update again if he replies or doesn't reply. i was choosing between him, martin huang & kim from bk dongyang clinic in korea but preferred to do in singapore cos i thought if anything happens, at least i can get to the doctor asap.

i really hope i won't regret my decision.

very prompt reply!

Dr Woffles WU actually replied to my text message in less than 5 mins!! amazing! he reassured me that all will be fine and he will be the one removing the pack and be back in time to remove stitches.

all the talk about him being arrogant, aloof and doesn't care for patients is not true! i saw happy patients at the waiting room and he seem really friendly to all of them.

for him to reply my text message so promptly is simply amazing! i really hope all goes well during surgery & everything!! will update on the day of surgery and recovery period next week. i figured i will probably be bored at home anyway, typing out whatever i feel makes me feel better!!!

In my memory, including me, you should be the 4th person doing rhinoplasty with Dr Wu in this forum.

It has been a year, I have no complaint about his work and never had the thought of having revision. It is not 100% perfect, but really very very close. No one notice and it was Dr Wu who pointed out the slight imperfection due to scarring.

Relax and enjoy his service...

hi kayatoast!

thanks for the reply

yes, am really anxious as surgery is next week. to be honest, my other features overshadows my really ugly nose ( thank goodness!) so my bf is not very supportive of this surgery, even though he says he is but i can tell that he is not that happy about it.

i have an ugly upturned nose & my surgery is more complicated so i am really worried. didn't sleep properly last night either.

started this topic so that i can share my experiences to other gals like me and typing out how i feel calms me down. will try to post all details about surgery & recovery.

his procedure for me is to add ear cartilage to the nostrils to "bring them down" so it's not so upturned, using gortex as implant too. anyone else has similar experience?

After all "luck" plays an important role.

hi jackinson,
have you gone through plastic surgery before? am just curious.

if luck plays an important role, i might as well seek the chinese temples for an auspicious date and go to thailand for cheap surgery!

the reason why i have chosen woffles wu despite paying SO much for it, it's because i have put my faith in his skills as a surgeon and that he does good work!

if he doesn't and my nose surgery requires another revison ( hope not!!) that really shows his skills as a surgeon!

the more revisions the surgeon do, the worst it is!

yes

In fact, I had chosen the most ex procedures for a particular area, I paid a hefty amount, but not as much as you. Because of good comments from others. I've chosen him as my surgeon, but the post result was really disappointing. I kind of regret now.

hey

i am so sorry to hear about that..... you are referring to woffles wu as your surgeon?

how long ago was your surgery? did you go back to him to tell him about the post results? any advice he gave you?

i am freaking nervous now especially about the gortex implant.. cos i read up on it & realized there is another new method of using ear cartilage, using pieces of it as wrapped cartilage and just text WW about it. still waiting for reply. am just so worried about the surgery and will my nose be worse off after surgery?!?

sorry bella, i can't reveal the dr's name anyway he is a specialist.

but I'm determined to get it done by another surgeon because I'm mentally strong enough to accept the botched job. Not so bad.

During my pre-surgery consultation, he proposed using ear cartilage to create a more define nose tip. But during the surgery, he told me he found enough "material" within my nose and cutting of my ear is not necessary.

He will decide what the best is for you after he CUT you up!!! Ha... Trying to scare you.

I dun want to sound like I am advertising for him, but I really really like my new nose! In my opinion, other than skilled surgeon and luck, must really follow the doctor’s instruction.

BTW... During the surgery, since you are stuck to each other, ask him whatever you want to ask to save consultation fee.

The last thing I want to say is... Enjoy PAP (pay & pay).
