Hi All,

I have recentley shifted to Singapore in June -2010,I have 6+ years of experience in HR out of which 2 years in HR ops and HRIS and the rest as HR generalist.

out of my total exp 5 years i have worked for gloal companies that are into IT and consulting really big brands.

its been a month that i have started applying for jobs but hve not received any calls so far. i do not have a PR yet iam on dependent Visa ..

i have even applied for contract jobs 3 months 6 months etc, iam not sure why iam not receiving calls for the positions that do not require a PR .

i am really demotivated, i have applied for position that are lesser in exp also..

can any one suggest me how else can i imporve my job search or if any one of you is into HR please help me find a job, iam open for temp and contract and also willing to take up recruitment.

I am from India ,thought its is one of the to do list learning mandrin but its not on priority..

i was just concerned about the job posting on the job portals, i feel that they really fake coz some of the JD are an absolute match but i dont know whats wrong with selection process.. idont seem to get any calls..

my spouse is on EP and has been transferred from India to Singapore..

how is the job market now the Job portal are definietley flourishing iam not sure what sort of people are filling those vacancies..

may be i just need to apply and wait for the reply or PR..

* some postings are just so agencies could collect CVs to fill their quotas for their own stupid or nefarious purposes.
* the mandarin thing sometimes is a manifestation of racism--some companies just want chinese but that's against the law so they use this as a workaround

HR in Singapore is very difficult to get in to unless you are local/PR or a bald headed bearded American!
