I have not stayed there but have visited friends/colleagues who stayed there previously. Its a fairly decent place, not the poshiest
Serviced Apartment but reasonably maintained.
The location is great because there is a japanese supermarket downstairs, and you are next to Clarke Quay (which means more restaurants). You can also walk to Robertson Quay for more food options.
The nearest train station is Clarke Quay, which is about 8 mins walk away (you need to cross the river). If you work around Raffles Place, it is possible to walk home as well during the evening (when it is not too hot). The walk is probably about 15-20 mins.
Your wife can explore Robertson Quay area because there are quite a lot of expats living around there. Many wives bring the kids to that area during the day, to chill. Opposite Gallery Hotel, is this place called "The Book Cafe". I used to go there because its quite nice and relax. But there are quite a lot of young kids nowadays, so its probably more suitable for your wife & kids. They have toys & books for the kids to read and play, while the Mrs sit there, sipping their coffee and read the magazine.
Have fun!
