Make your own sandwich? :lol: You know...just buy the ingredients from a supermarket so you're in control of what you put there. :) Speaking of which, anyone knows where one can buy good pastrami?

Making your own pastrami ain't easy. You need a smoker to get the flavor. Corned beef is a bit easier but salting a huge slab of meat for two weeks sux when all you want is to satisfy the craving for one sandwich.

we don't have it on the menu yet, but hopefully will have corned beef on menu shortly after christmas and maybe pastrami. madison deli in marina bay link mall under the new financial center. we just opened. have a lot of other american specialties already - best bbq pork sandwich in singapore. slow cooked for 10 hrs. roast our own beef. all sauces made in house. post sanitized by moderator

Sorry... I am an avid chef (pro school)... and would love to have the balls to open a 'corner bistro'. So I applaud those who do, and it fascinates me.

Fortunately, perhaps, I'm not a gambler* and am smart enough not to throw a million down the drain.

p.s. But I still think I can do you you the best f$cking to-order burger and fries this side of 10 euros you'll ever get. 8-)
