Using baby video monitor & breast pump from the US in SG

Post by ghoney77 » Sat, 31 Jul 2010 4:12 am

Hello~ I am thinking about bringing back from the US baby video monitor & breast pump since it looks like they are cheaper in the US/more options, but wondering if they will work in Singapore with the different voltage, etc. Has anyone done this? Is the hassle with an electrical converter, etc just not worth it? Thanks!

Very often the power adapters are now universal - just check first if you do not have markings like this: AC: 100-240V (or similar range) on your appliances or the adapters.
If not, buying a converter here is not a problem.

yes, I bought my Summer Time Video monitor this summer from the US and just had to buy an adapter that switched the voltage. I brought the camera portion to Lucky Plaza and they were able to fiddle around with a few different adapters until they found the appropriate one.
