KTV Lounges at Peace Center in CBD?
KTV Lounges at Peace Center in CBD?
Hi guys,
Was waiting for someone at the Peace Center at 1 Sophia Road.
The whole building had wrong signals around it,
- Lot of girls scooting in and out of cabs and cars there
- Whole building is filled with KTV bars
Does anything shady happen out there?
Are the KTV lounges double for anything except drinking and karaoke places?

Peace Center
Lot's of good guitar shops in Peace Center, as well as a whole bunch of copy shops. Maybe all the girls are going there?
But on a serious note: There are only a few Karaoke bars in Singapore where people don't go for negotionable affection. These are referred to as 'Family KTV'. Most older shopping malls (like Peace Center) are littered with the other kind.
I've never visited one myself, but I do share your curiosity as to what goes on inside:).

Well this isn't going to help much, but I used to live near Club Jaguar. Went there a couple of times out of curiosity. Everyone is Chinese , the place was packed and on the first visit they pretty well ignored me as I set at the bar, admitedly 3 sails to the wind at the end of a good evening, trying to figure out what the hell was going on. The decor was beyond opulent and there were loads of private rooms, with girls constantly marching up and down.
A few blokes drank at the bar but most just headed straight for the private rooms. I guess you need to hire a private room and some female "company" to help you pass the time in there.
Later I did recognise a couple of the girls I'd seen at Club Jaguar in our block so - and this may come as a surprise - I'm guessing that the entertainment may carry on later at the gentleman's abode. I would often see them congregating outside; the reception in the block told me that before my time they used to openly accost and solicit but had stopped doing so following complaints.
On my second visit I was feeling even more "refreshed" and it was very late at night. A chinese singer was entertaining at the bar this time; I can only describe her as an average singer and one of the most absolutely staggeringly beautiful women I have ever set eyes upon. There were ribbons behind the bar and patrons cuold show their appreciation by garlanding her with ribbons - starting at S$100 for the cheapest ribbon.
At some point, something about my shaking and dribbling must have given the game away because when she finished singing, an older lady fetched her over and introduced her. Sadly she spoke not a syllable of English, nor I or Mandarin, and after about 15 minutes she politely took her leave to resume singing and being garlanded with expensive ribbons by middle aged Chinese fellas.
The older lady then came over and introduced herself as the Entertainments Manager and I spent about an hour having a stupidly drunken conversation with her, of which I can remember v little.
Never had the courage to show my face in there again after that

Not strictly Peace Centre, but I know it. Used to live up on Mt Sophia in the 90's, and this time before we jetted off spent two weeks in Citadines right opp. what you mention.
