HD Tv, Mobile and broadband packages

Post by owis » Sun, 18 Jul 2010 12:09 am

Hi Can someone tell me what is the best provider for HD TV, mobile and broadband internet. I am seeking a total package about 15mbps. Sing tel is about 65 dollars but starhub is about 140 dollars so a big difference. Are there any others and if not what are peoples experiences with these. thanks

starhub is using cable whereas singtel is using copper. if i am not mistaken, you need to cough up for a landline with singtel to get adsl and the tv is piggy bag over the adsl.

Hi Thanks for that it makes the choice much more clearer now. I have to say compared to the costs in the Uk is far more value for money.

If you want to watch tv other than sport then Starhub is your only realistic choice, the channels on Singtel MioTv are sparse and there's nothing worth watching.

If you want premier league, champions league football and Formula1 then Singtel MioTv is your only choice as they have the rights for the next 3 years.

Indeed, Singtel is over the phone line (ADSL) so you have to pay per month for that, whereas Starhub is over cable.

Personally I have both tv boxes, and have broadband internet and phone line with starhub, I may switch the internet to Singtel when the contract expires depending on who offers the best price at the time, service-wise I find them both very similar (not that good)
