I need help from those of you who are experienced in fitness x. Which club should i sign up with? I'm confused.. There's Carlifornia Fitness, Fitness First, True Fitness, Amore.... anymore?

Any recommendation for me. I'm a newbie in the fitness world..

Fitness First for sure, even though it is a bit more expensive. I have tried California Fitness, but somehow the environment and the people make me unmotivated to go to the gym.

The facilities in FF are top grade and they have so many classes to go to (MTV Dance, Les Mills classes, Yoga, Pilates, etc). Shower rooms are beautiful and clean. Cable channels available and you can also plug in your headsets to listen!

Kovan is only 30$ a month Fitness Edge, also a PT on hand if needed.

Its a local gym with a few expats, pretty small but well equipped, located on Kovan bus terminal. Though its only for the dedicated, not posers :) or ego enthusiasts

If you are just looking at joining a gym and just workout on your own, California Fitness can offer a very good price if you take up longer years membership.

No it's not. Good walking shoes are expensive and so are bicycles and the relevant kit to go with them.

:) My Bicycle costs me $89 from Carrefour, I've done more than 15000 km on it in the past 18 months. Walking shoes can get for $100 a pair. Anyway we have to wear shoes when we're out.

I decided to go with True Fitness after comparing it against Fitness First. I used to get free entry with Planet Fitness (think they renamed it now).

Things I like & dislike about Fitness First:
- They have various locations that is near to my workplace & home
- Some locations have swimming pools (including a heated pool). Its not a full-lap pool but its sufficient to swim.
- Toilets and amendities are good. Provide free towels, exercise clothes (t-shirts & shorts @ some locations) & drinks.
- Have a variety of classes.
- It used to be quieter but its getting crowded.

Things I like & dislike about True Fitness:
- Its brand-new and all equipments are top notch.
- Small classes, often, very few people in the class.
- Toilets and amendities are good. Provide free towels, exercise clothes (t-shirts & shorts @ location) & drinks.
- Have a good variety of classes including hip hop & pole dancing (yes, pole dancing!).
- I find the class instructors extremely enthusiatic when they are conducting the class. The PT also seems extremely knowledgable.
- Only 1 location and no swimming pool

Personally, I don't like to exercise in a crowded gym so I went for True Fitness. California is cheap but its extremely packed. True Fitness is slightly more expensive than Fitness First, and they don't waive the joining fee.

I joined true fitness but to be honest I don't rate it, the changing rooms are not very nice and they constantly bug you to get personal training which really annoys me. There is a really nice gym oped on Clarke Quay called Energia I think it's $800 for 1 year membership everything is brand new and they have a bar which sells heathly snacks and drinks
