I am planning to buy a Feb 2007 Kia Picanto for only $16K

This is for short term usage for 1 year, it is worth it or is it better to rent?

tic....toc....tic....toc....

One would have to wonder about a seeming local (judging by the nic) having to register on a expat website just to ask a question about a car with a link to a "personal" sale listing. Somehow just has an advertiser's PONG to it.

Especially since it's the poster's first and only post....... :-k

We are also moving to Singapore from States for an year or so. We are looking for a good used car model which has lesser repairs after purchase. Can someone please guide in this matter and help us locate a good used car dealer.

If you are only going to be here for a year or so, and you are not into cars as eye candy, then you might consider an older car whose COE will expire in 12 to 18 months. You can buy these for $3K to $5K. Check out OneMotoring.com.sg.
