Germany vs. Spain

Post by steff77 » Wed, 07 Jul 2010 4:00 pm

Hi, it seems that all of my friends are out of town or prefer to stay in bed tonight. Anyone up for watching the semi-final Germany - Spain tonight at Robertson Quay?

I will cheer for Germany though, but Spain-supporters are of course welcome as well. :)

Im on the same ship. But looking forward to meet some spanish supporters, if there are some around SG.

I have been watching last matches from home, but it´s difficult to fight against sleep when you are alone at home. With a crowd (and some beers) will be easier to follow whole match.

Anywhere where spanish people are meeting tonight?

My spanish friend watches at a place right nearby Prince of Wales in Dunlop st, Little India. It seems to be the "unofficial" spanish / catalan hangout in Singapore.

Probably Catalan, but at this point in time he's Spanish (as Barca wouldn't have enough players left to field their own team!)

July 8 (Bloombrg) -- Top US investment bank Goldman Sachs is said to be
bidding US$4m a yr's package for the oracle octopus Paul to head up its
Proprietary trading book. Goldman will convert part of its trading floor
into a fish tank for Paul and put boxes of different markets, stocks, indices, equities and bonds for Paul to chose from. Hopefully this will translate into a more profitable prop business for them. Paul will also work closely with Head of Global Strategy and recommend him asset allocation strategy. Also heard from a reliable source this morning that Merrill Lynch were bidding Paul to replace their entire research team. Will be interesting to see where Paul ends up.
