any Gators out there????

Postby sloopjb80 » Wed, 07 Jul 2010 11:21 am

I'm a 29 year old American male seriously considering making the move to Singapore. The major thing holding me back is the unknowns about what life will be like - although this forum makes it seem like there is plenty to do over there. One thing that would make it a lot easier is if I knew if there were any U of Florida grads in Singapore that like to watch college football in the fall? If there are no Gators over there are there any other American expats who watch college football games anywhere?

Another question - is it easy to get to good surf spots in that part of Asia?

Thanks!

Sounds good thanks for the info! I played for a few rugby clubs in the US and I’m really looking forward to rugby in Singapore. As far I can tell, the best options for American gridiron football are the internet or a slingbox ... if anybody else knows of a better way to catch games in the fall let me know!

i will definitely do the singaporean thing, whether that be the english premiere league, tri-nations rugby or any other sports people watch over there. but i'll be keeping up with my american sports too, even if i get ribbed for it!!!

@elsanto => the first gator game is on sep 4. i'm moving to singapore in december, which is later than i originally expected, so i will be over there during the sec championship game and bowl game. hopefully we can figure out a way to watch games over there!
