Hi there, will be arriving in SG early august, and was wondering if there was an ex-pat golfing society or club that organises golf days or trips. Will need my regular fix of chasing the white ball all over the place. So wondering if anyone else does as well.

No need to go to all that trouble.....

Not counting the courses in Batam, Indonesia (short ferry ride) and Johor Bahru in Malaysia, just across the causeway.

Usually it's just a 4-ball loosely arranged whenever. Obviously, you can start here with a open invitation for some golfing kaki's (friends). Once here, you will start to network and you will probably find fellow employees or clients or vendors who you can invite/be invited by once they know you're a golfer. It's not that hard to get up a 4 Ball for a 6 a.m. tee-off. Often you can book at the public courses and they will find a flight that needs a 4th and networking starts in ernest! After the first eighteen, an hour at the 19th hole should also start you on your golfing network.

I help run a golf society but we have about a 50/50 mixture of locals and expats so probably wouldn't be your cup of tea

ANZA has a regular group of golfers who generally play Tuesdays and Thursdays. Great group of guys with a wide range of golfing ability.

Hi there, there is a golf day being organised by some people on here will be on the 13th september, in Batam I seem to remember, the rates seem pretty good so if you're interested and think you could get a 4 ball together or even just interested take a look at the golf society postings on here. cheers

Hi
I have created the Singapore Golf Society group on The Social Golfer dot com. Please join, I'd like to get an active group going around Singapore. As a bonus, I know the owner of TSG and he has offered my contacts 12 months free PRO membership to get all the benefits of the site. Message me and I'll give you a the code.
Kind regards,
Steve Sharpley
