Good British food. Hmmm have a hard time taking those words seriously together. Particularly here in Singers, as what you will usually get is a local interpretation of what Brits ate here 40 years ago.

Sorry. Mush peas, beans on toast? Ugh. BUT for some sometimes edible British food you can check out the British Club. My English friends swear it's good. I think it's terrible but to each their own! Though the curry is pretty good. And depending on who's in the kitchen they can do a good roast beef - their Sunday lunch is nice. And you can buy some nice sausages, pies and cheese in their shop. Those I do like.

I recently moved from london not too long ago too, I think it's hard to find modern british food here. Alot of the food here is heavily seasoned, overcooked. If you do find some, I would like to know too.

For those nearer town than the East Coast, there is already a 2nd Smiths open on Bukit Timah near Newton Circus. :)

I only saw the board on the shop front last week. I dunno how long it takes to install and get a chippy up and running. I am figuring early October.

Anytime soon - it says late September on their website
