something similar is sold in ikea.

I checked Ikea online catalogue before posting it but they may not have everything listed.
Yep, similar to a hospital table but not sure if there is any retail outlet for this kind of goods and probably would be with slightly different aesthetics :)

They probably used to. I remember seeing it online. And my flatmate bought his from there, but it's a weird triangular-obloid shape.

The style of table at Ikea is Dave. In the Alexandria Rd store there is an example as soon as you walk into the store on the upper level. Comes in at least Red and White - I bought the white one but thought the red was funky. I think it also comes in blue and black.

It is more triangular than your example and without wheels means the legs fit under a low set sofa. The table can slope down if you like as well.

I found it but this is adifferent functional design - it is rather to be used from the front and I am looking for something to be used from the side.
