Foundations with a good coverage

Post by fatmouse76 » Fri, 25 Jun 2010 3:42 pm

Hii all, I have been using Bourjouis but am intending to switch to a good long use foundation which requires minimal or no touch up at all.

Something like what the stewardesses use. Any recommendations ?

what type of skin do you have? oily? dry? combination? do you use powder or liquid foundation? most people who use long wear foundation also use loose powder to seal the foundation to avoid it coming off. in Singapore i use a primer to help the foundation stay longer ...

i apply Vichy anti imperfection as my moisturiser.. then sunblock which I got from my dermatologist. After which I use Bourjois liquid foundation , then i use Revlon buff shade to pat on the powder.
Thats it ...

I have never used loose powder as I have got no experience applying it.

you needn't much experience with loose powder, all you need is a touch of it with a sponge (sold at all drugstores here) and that should help applying loose powder. there are so many choices for loose powder, all depends on budget, Revlon does a good one as well as Bobbi Brown or Clinique. if you want foundation to stay long, use loose powder, it will help.

MAC is Canadian and their loose powder is great, it is very light and will really help seal the foundation properly, won't smear.

Shiseido and SKII are meant to be good products, have no personal experience other than the bronzer for Shiseido, SKII has good creams, it is just a question of testing them out.

Isnt Loose Powder more difficult to apply rather than pressed powder..I am so used to the sponge ..i dont think I will know how to use those brushes for loose powder.

I think I will drop by the MAC counter.. thing is that I feel that the sales girls there know more about which foundation colour suits the chinese skin ,not many know the skin colour for a Latina girl. I am slightly tan

MAC counter is a good place to start, they should be able to explain how to apply loose powder using either a brush or makeup sponge. Try looking it up from Youtube, several good make up artists have excellent videos on how to use different products.
