Expatriate health insurance

Post by JWilliamson » Fri, 25 Jun 2010 12:33 pm

Hello everyone, Im in search of an international health insurance while im living in Asia. I'm from The Unites States and i have moved to Asia (Hong Kong and Singapore) two years ago. My research has led me to some insurance brokers such as: Globalsurance (located in Hong Kong) and Pacific prime (located in Hong Kong and Singapore). I am told they can find me an insurance plan for me and that they deal with many international health insurance companies. Has anyone herad or has a plan with them? Thanks JW

Pacific Prime is excellent. Do a search on this forum - a couple of others have recommended them as well.

I have used Global Health for 5 years. Depending upon how old you are, you might also want to look at yearly premium increases. One policy I looked at was cheaper at the outset but climbed much more rapidly.

Guys,

I currently use Bupa International which isn't that cheap but they offer 100% coverage for hospitalization and EMS transport (including repatriation to your home country). They even reimburse outpatient services assuming you fill out the form and send in the receipts.
