Does the country where the marriage is registered matter?

Hi,

I'm a Singaporean and I'm going to marry my Taiwanese gf soon. We are now considering where to register our marriage. My plan is to work overseas in Europe for a yr or so and return to Singapore for good after that.

If our marriage is registered in Singapore, will it increase her chances of getting her PR after we return? Else we may be considering other places like Taiwan or the US for convenience.

I would say it would be beneficial to have a Singapore Marriage Cert, makes it look less like a Marriage of Convenience.
